Wow…winter break is almost over! Those 5 weeks went by so fast! After the CI, I was able to go to to Yilan to visit Lucy, Rumi, and Frieda, some of my students from summer camp last year. I had a lot of fun hanging out with them. We went hiking, hung out at a really neat playground, and ate a lot of food. We visited an aboriginal town in the mountains – it feld kind of weird being stared at so much, but I was probably one of the first foreigners those aboriginal kids had ever seen. It was good to see them. I’m hoping to get back to Yilan this summer, and go surfing this time :)
The week after I went to Yilan, I went to Kaosiung to visit Grace, my “adopted sister” We did a lot of fun stuff, went to KTV, watched movies, ate good food, and had some good talks. I think I gained five pounds. We didn’t run around and do too much exploring (too cold for that) but we still had a lot of fun…
